We’re a different kind of electrician: if you’ve watched our YouTube channel, you’ll see that we’re open and honest about the work we do, and the skills and processes required for each job. We won’t say that a job is finished until we believe it has been completed to the highest possible standard.
We are driven by a desire to do our best, and to us this goes beyond doing the actual job. We believe in clear communication with our customers: whatever we need to do, we’ll discuss with you. We’re always thoroughly professional: our teams are polite, punctual, dressed suitably in our uniforms and we make a point of tidying up after we’ve finished a job.
Our teams are of course all suitably qualified, and experienced contractors work alongside those learning the trade in order to teach best practice.

We had Lee Barbet spend the day sorting various electrical issues in our house. He was really thorough and had to spend a lot of time problem solving as our house is old and has previously had terrible work done. Not only did he put shoe covers on whenever in the house, he hoovered up any mess he’d made and took away old lighting and boxes at the end of the day. I was really impressed with him and would definitely recommend him, his work seems excellent. As for artisan electrics, after a couple of initial stumbling blocks which they sorted, I have been impressed overall. They’re certainly not the cheapest but I think you get what you pay for.

I've used Artisan many times and they really are 5 star. Polite, clean, highly professional. The last project involved coordinating other tradespeople too, which they did seamlessly, and the project completed ahead of schedule. The administrative side is very polished too, with text reminders of site arrival times, and no waiting around for a reply. Well-deserving of the excellent reviews.

Highly recommended company, from quote to having work carried out was very quick and professional.Electrician John did a great job of fitting some light fittings and took time to ask what we wanted and gave advice. Very tidy worker who cleaned up afterwards and removed rubbish.Will be using them again.

Excellent and very professional service. Artisan did a full ECIR, corrected a few issues they found, and installed a new consumer unit. An electrician visited soon after my initial call to give a quote, and he followed up with calls to explain and answer questions. The electrician who did the work was excellent, and kept me informed as he progressed. The work looks very smart and tidy. It was a good experience, performed on time and to quote. I definitely recommend Artisan, and will use them in future.

Having spent most of the last year renovating my home, I was drawn to the idea of installing a solar system to cut down on my energy bills as well as having a positive impact on the planet. With so much work going on I found myself watching videos on YouTube about various home renovations, and I came across Artisan Electrics' channel.Having already had a myenergi car charger installed I was looking into the possibility of getting their new battery storage system with solar for best compatibility, and it came as a great surprise to find out Artisan Electrics were based just down the road in Cambridge!I made my initial enquiry in May, knowing it might take a little while for the installation given how new the product was! The initial sign up was easy, just an online form and taking a few photos. I had to send a couple of emails to check on progress but otherwise was kept well informed.I had a site visit about a month before the start of the project from Jordan and Wayne who were both very knowledgeable and answered my questions, then it was almost time for the final installation.The team working on my project were incredibly professional and polite. They turned up exactly on time every day (and I mean that - one day they knocked on my door at exactly 8am!) and even managed to finish the project a day and a half earlier than expected (despite a set back from a delayed parts delivery)! I was kept informed of progress throughout the project and took the opportunity to watch them work.I know what I paid was certainly not the cheapest price on the market, however my main reason for choosing Artisan was because I could actually see lots of evidence of their previous projects. Watching their YouTube videos was very informative not only of what to expect froma solar install, but also to reassure me of the quality of work I would receive. I completely agree that there is a reason why they have so many five star reviews.Jordan and the team have worked very hard to build up a business that really does put the customer first, right from the first contact to completion of the project. I am very pleased with my choice of electricians and look forward to enjoying my new solar system for many years to come.

Everyone knows that Artisan have a great reputation, so my experiences aren't going to be much of a surprise here! We've just moved house and needed an EICR to be completed so that we knew what we were dealing with ready for EV chargers, solar, batteries etc in future. The previous owner had an EICR completed as part of the house sale, but we weren't entirely confident in it.Sure enough, the Artisan report found all sorts of things that the first report missed. The report was super-thorough with lots of photos and explanations in plain language. The quality of their work and customer service was exemplary. They explained all the options and implications and were very happy to answer my many questions and accommodate my future plans in their suggestions. They clearly take the same pride in their work whether or not they are filming the job for their YouTube channel.Of course it was more expensive than the other quotes I received, but it was unquestionably worth it. You get what you pay for, and if we'd relied on the cheap EICR from the house sale there would still be a number of dangerous electrical faults that we were unaware of. Don't take shortcuts with electricity - go for a company that you know will do things properly!We are very likely to get Artisan to install our (rather unusual!) EV charger and won't be surprised if - a few years down the line - we have them back to do solar and battery installations.[Update: We did indeed get Artisan to do the remedial work from the EICR and install the EV charger. The work was everything you'd expect from exemplary electricians and then some more. Everyone was polite, friendly, diligent and professional. The new consumer units are pristine and you can see that there is no such thing as cutting corners with Artisan. They tidied up all of the existing wiring (which was all over the place!) so everything was collected together and discreet. They kept me well informed throughout the four days of work and always went out of their way to meet my preferences (for example, I wanted one of the outside lights in a place that happened to be rather difficult to wire up, but they worked their Artisan magic and made it happen). As a mark of how nice everything looked and how pleased I was with it, I did a video call with my father after they'd finished to show off all the new kit and wiring! I'm looking forward to having them back when I'm ready for solar and batteries - and inevitably lots of other electrical jobs as I continue 'playing' with smart home tech.]

I called Artisan Electrics when our power shower suddenly stopped working. Right from the beginning, they were friendly, helpful, and professional. Lee came over to fix it the next working day. Everything now works perfectly, which was a big relief. They are very clear and transparent about pricing, and the costs were very reasonable. It’s hard to find reliable and professional companies these days so we will be sticking with Artisan Electrics in the future. We already have a couple of jobs in mind!! Thank you again!!

We have had major work completed recently both to our households switchboards and solar panel inverter. The work was carried out with complete expertise and efficiency by very polite and friendly engineers. They arrived punctually and equipped with all necessary components. From start to finish an excellent service, Dan came and did a survey and very promptly provided quotation, he did a very thorough survey and talked us through options. Date agreed we were very grateful they could come so quickly to install our charger, Luke did a great job, very professional yet friendly and left everywhere clean and tidy. The quote team were fantastic and had to put up with a lot of vagueness from us. The installation team were just fantastic and when we had a small niggle they came and fixed it in not time. Artisan are what you need from any modern trade business, honest, transparent, responsive and professional things that should be a given for all businesses but rarely all are.Communication was excellent throughout with phone calls and emails at the right times and the finance work and regulations paperwork was with me within 48 hours.The team onsite turned up when they said they would, explained clearly the steps involved, rectified a number of issues caused by previous electricians and are clearly proud of the work they do.I wish Artisan all the best as they continue to grow as a business.

Artisan Electrics installed a charger for our new electric car after we had been assured by two specialist charger installers that it would be impossible at our house, since the main fuse, meter etc. are conveniently situated in the middle of the house inside a hollow wall... Artisan Electrics have the kind of can-do attitude to a challenge which is what you want in a builder or plumber or any installer or repairer. Perfect job, pleasant people. Thoroughly recommended.

Our engineers were John & Reuben who did an excellent job, firstly the inspection report and then a return visit to replace the consumer unit and fit two external double sockets. The wiring in the consumer unit was so neat and really future proof. John tracked down and rectified a tricky lighting fault. I could not be more pleased with the finished work. Artisan Electrics were a pleasure to deal with, thoroughly professional throughout and the work exceeded my expectations. We will definitely use them again.

I found Artisan Electrics on YouTube and was impressed by how they approach each customer's requirements. So, I decided to try an EICR from them. Fantastic service, although it did highlight how bad the electrics were in my house (but that’s the point). They took the time to listen to what I was planning for upgrades in my house and gave me suggestions to think about.I am now waiting for them to come back and do some much-needed upgrade work.

I recently had an EV charge point installed at two different properties by Artisan Electrics. I discovered them from their excellent YouTube videos, where I learned all I needed to know about EV charge points from one single video!One of the EV charge points was located outside their normal working area, in North Norfolk, but as I was having two installations carried out by them, Artisan Electrics very kindly agreed to cover the second one, outside their normal area.Lee and Luke carried out both my installations, and I can't praise them highly enough. They were both friendly, polite and obviously extremely capable in their field. They were punctual, hardworking, and able to deal with unforeseen issues readily. I am delighted with both installations!Artisan Electrics are towards the higher end of the pricing scale, but the service you get is second to none. Right from initial contact, Chloe on the admin side of things was extremely helpful and kept me updated with any news. Found through their youtube page and booked in for a Hypervolt to be installed after seeing it in use on the channel.Can't fault the work that was done. They managed to hide most of the cable through existing trunking on the house and behind the stones which left a clean look and Lee answered any questions and concerns I had as well!Overall great work done and extremely nice people that work for Artisan!
