What is smart home technology?

Smart thermostats allow you to control your heating via the internet from a smartphone or tablet. Companies such as Nest, Hive and Tado have created beautifully simple smart thermostats that giveyou flexibility in controlling your central heating – and you don’t even need to be in the house. Smart lighting works on similar principles, giving you control and flexibility about how you light your home, helping you to save energy and also boosting security.
